Hi, I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago, and my doctoral study is currently supported by Kwanjeong Educational Foundation. I am very fortunated to be advised by Professor Cong Ma. I am also closely working with Professor Chao Gao.

I will join Amazon (Seattle, WA, United States) during the summer of 2026 as an Applied Scientist intern, hosted by Ana Danieli.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences from KAIST on Feb. 2022 with honors (Summa Cum Laude and the KAIST Presidential Award).

Research interest

I am broadly interested in the span of statistics, econometrics, machine learning, and mathematics of data science. My research interest lies in the following disciplines:

  • Statistics and econometrics: high-dimensional and non-parametric statistics, and causal inference.

  • Machine learning (ML) and mathematics of data science: statistical learning under distribution shift, and theoretical foundations of generative models.
